Tapestry of Shadows is the fifth album from Shadowfields. Released in 2017, it expanded on the use of mandolin and violin as primary instruments in many songs. This was also the first album to feature a full band (as opposed to Tom playing all the instruments). Long-time drummer Jim Livas, bassist Tony Meadors and violinist Gary Jacklin recorded on all tracks. Part of the idea behind the recodings was to show that they were more than capable musicians as well as song writers. Shadowfields played Summerfest in Milwaukee and toured extensively to support the album which featured the single "Passing Shadows".
